2008 Nissan Altima

Model Overview

Ever since its 2002 revival, the Nissan Altima has been a very popular choice for consumers interested in a sport-oriented family sedan. In particular, the previous-generation car was known for its athletic handling and performance. Unfortunately, it was also known for its low-buck interior and excessive road noise.

When Nissan redesigned the Altima sedan last year, it focused on keeping the car's sporting credentials intact while simultaneously addressing its faults. The new Altima's significant dynamic and interior improvements contributed to a powerful five-seater that provided plenty of comfort and driving excitement for those looking for a lot more than basic transportation.

The 2008 Nissan Altima adds to this pedigree with an all-new coupe model. More than just a regular Altima with a pair of doors lopped off, it's very close to being a junior Infiniti G37, in both appearance and performance. The two-door features unique body panels (it shares only the hood), a shorter wheelbase and overall length, and a revised suspension for even sportier handling.

Both the coupe and sedan come with a long list of available luxury and technology features, but they are put into large, expensive packages that often must be lumped together with other packages. For example, if you want satellite radio on a 2.5 S Sedan, you must spend $1,200 for the Connection Package, which then must be ordered with the $500 CVT, the $3,850 2.5 SL package and $300 antilock brakes. The Technology Package on the 3.5 SE is $6,400. If you want to keep the price low, we'd normally suggest going light on options, but unfortunately, Nissan makes it just about impossible to do this. It's like going to a salad bar and being offered a choice of either dry lettuce or a 4-gallon bucket of Ranch.

Although its options pricing is a little shady, the 2008 Nissan Altima is now an even more versatile (and attractive) choice in the always competitive midsize segment. The Altima coupe competes closest with the new 2008 Honda Accord coupe. Both vehicles providing a compelling mix of sport and practicality that other midsize coupes don't come close to matching. Meanwhile, the Altima sedan continues to be a very desirable midsize family car, especially for those who want one with a good amount of sporting potential. Either body style should be near the top of a shopping list.

2008 Nissan Altima

NEW FOR 2008

An all-new coupe model joins the 2008 Nissan Altima lineup. It features the same set of powerful engines and impressive transmissions but offers unique exterior styling, sportier suspension tuning and slightly smaller proportions.

PRO

Strong engine performance, smooth and responsive continuously variable transmission (CVT), quick steering, good-looking cabin with quality materials, coupe's sporty styling.

CON

Stability control not available on four-cylinder models, mediocre backseat comfort, Nissan's annoying structure of options packages.

I think I'm in love with this thing.
I love the overall feel of the car, inside and out. I owned an 03 Altima and I must say that Nissan has stepped it up a notch the the design of this car. The interior is very plush and the control are nice and simple. The instrument cluster is nicly laid out (not too busy). The acceleration is pretty good for a grocery getter. I have gotten a lot of looks. This car turns heads. Good job Nissan.

First Nissan Altima Coupe in Western WA
I have had my 2008 Altima Coupe for 1 1/2 weeks now and I LOVE IT! It's my first brand new car and it handles perfect! I have driven 280+ miles (it had 20 when I left the lot. I bought it the day after the dealer received it) and I feel like it was made for me. I haven't had that feeling of "oops I'm going around that corner too fast" like I did in my other cars/SUVs. It's such a smooth ride, and doesn't have that small compact feel like most sports cars, but it is soooo nice to look at. The backseat is roomy, and there is lots of leg room up front. It has lots of power and get-up-and-go for only 4 cylinders.

By rambosky on February 1 @ 6:10 am
It looks like a high performance car.
I was taken by the sporty looks of the coupe. I thought it looked better than the 350Z. I got the premium package which included leather seats, sun roof, alloy wheels and Bose sound system. It handles better than other sports cars I've driven which cost $10K more. The shiftless CVT is awesome. Can't wait til I drive it again.

Nissan's Best Kept Secret
We test drove it a few weeks ago, and that set the high water mark. Almost bought a Lexus IS 250 for $4k more, but the Altima coupe is much more fun to drive, plus has more rear legroom!

Great
This is definitely the best car I test drove and finally bought. There is nothing I don't like about the car. Comparing this car to the Mazda6, Dodge Avenger/Charger and Audi4, this car blows them away with style and performance. Even though I have the V4 for CVT, I feel more power driving this than in any Acura or just any car I have driven. Easily said, Nissan has made a car that will be a collectors item in the years ahead.

Performance + Features + Looks = Awesome
I've had the car for two weeks and couldn't be happier. The V6 CVT engine is quite the performer and it's great not having the "shifting gears" feel on conventional automatics. The turning is phenomenal. The car both looks and feels sporty. I got the performance and tech package and the quality of the interior feels like a upper end luxury car. The fuel economy for a 270hp 3.5L is rather decent (who needs a hybrid). The best part about the looks of the car is the back of it (have to see it in person). I like having all of the accessories put into two packages instead of 20+ add ons. Anyone in the market for a two door coupe should definitely test drive an Altima coupe.

The coupe
I got 2.5 with CVT and convenience pkg. Great power, excellent ride, handles well, and gorgeous. The car is better than I expected. I got it for style, but it is also a great ride. Economy, according to the computer is 23 around the city, and will go over 400 miles on a tank. Only an economy car will do that.

Where has this car been???
I recently purchased the Altima Coupe after going to my dealership to look at the Altima 4door. I saw the brochure and was smitten. I decided to wait until the sedan was released and I'm so glad I did. I added the Nav and Premium pkg. It rides like a dream. It's excellent on gas and has turned heads everywhere I go. I usually hear it looks like the GS but looks even better. This was the best car purchase I've ever made and I've made plenty.

Great car at an affordable price
Very happy w/ the purchase. Looking at a G35 but went w/ a loaded Altima Coupe 3.5 SE and saved 8K. Not one that needs to have the status of owning a G35. Heard the Altima Coupe is a "poor mans" G35, I say it's a wise mans for those not into status symbols and for those whom aren't professional drivers. Great car for the driver who wants to have a little driving fun at great price.

I wanted to buy the 2007 Altima SL sedan, but the coupe caught my eye and my imagination. I test drove it and I knew I had to have this car! The leather seats are very comfortable and the sound system is excellent. Handing at all speeds is precise without being overly sensitive, and the 2.5L engine is powerful (and economical) enough for me, having had a S 2004 2.5S Altima sedan. I cannot say enough about the Continental tires - they grip tenaciously in wet weather and are quiet. Trunk space is very limited so you may need to put stuff in the rear seat. Smaller folk should be able to access the rear seat, but adults will find it difficult to enter and exit. The rear visibility is limited.

I LOVE my COUPE!!!
I bought my Azure Blue premium package coupe on Friday and I am in love with this car. I went from a V6 down to the 4 cylinder but this car has plenty of power. The ride is so smooth. I haven't seen one in my area yet but I know a few have been sold. I was actually looking at my car at the same time as 2 other people. There are so few on the lots you can get into a war trying to get yours. At this point I love everything about this car. The features in the premium package are great. The dual air conditioners work well since I am always cold when my husband is burning up. The stereo (Bose) has great sound quality. The seats are very comfortable.

Awesome
I didn't get a chance to test-drive the 3.5 until I picked it up and wow can you tell the difference. So quick and very smooth acceleration. Really love the car and can't beat it for the price. Everyone who's seen it comments on how great it looks.

Love it, Love it, Love it!!!
I've had my car for about two months and it's been nothing but fun. I've driven it around the city and taken it for a trip from Virginia Beach, VA to Pittsburgh, PA and back. The car's got zip and is so much fun to drive. For awhile during my trip back to VA Beach, I was getting 41 mpg, that is until I got stuck for 3.5 hours in DC for rush hour. I still ended up with 34 mpg overall. I'm very happy with my investment and being a Nissan, I'm sure it will last me for quite some time.

I'm in Love!
I bought my coupe a week ago, black with charcoal leather interior. I got the premium package as well. This is the first new car I have ever bought and I think it was a great decision! There is nothing about the car that I don't like. I love everything about it, inside and out. I use the bluetooth phone system a lot. The dual climate control is great. And the Bose... well its BOSE! The ride is sooo smooth! I haven't seen anyone out on the road with one yet. I would suggest this car to anyone!

I Love My Coupe!!!!
I first saw this car in a magazine and I told my husband that I had to have this car. That was at the end of May. By the 2nd week of July, I had purchased my new Altima coupe. I am so happy that I bought my coupe. It was the best decision. This is my first Nissan, and I will buy another and another. I love my car and I would not trade it for anything. People stop and ask me, "Is that a Nissan?" I of course say yes it is and it is mine. I have to see another coupe around here and I am glad that I was one of the first to buy it. Thanks Nissan for one awesome coupe.

Absolutely LOVE it!
My occupation requires me to drive hundreds of miles a week and I wanted a reliable and economical "work tool." Stepping down from an 8-cyl BMW X5 for fuel economy, I must say that I am very pleased with the pep and gas mileage of my 2.5 S. As an audiophile, it is very out of character for me to settle for the factory (base) stereo. In doing so, I am pleasantly surprised at how nice is sounds. I'm sure the Bose may be a little better, but I doubt it's worth the extra moola. The car is quick for a 4-banger, agile, quiet at interstate speeds, and comfy. My wife is telling her friends "It's a miracle that he likes a 4-cyl car!" In a nutshell, I absolutely love it!

What a sweet ride!
All I can say is wow! What a sweet ride! I just bought my coupe this week and was planning on test driving a few other vehicles in the same category. The Altima coupe was my first test drive and I knew as soon as I took off in it there was no reason to test drive anything else. The ride is so smooth and what a kick it has for a 4 cylinder. I love the body style and the dual exhausts. I don't feel like I'm sitting real low to the ground and the car feels solid. I can't say enough great things about this car!

By KurtinPA on December 24 @ 12:43 pm
This car rocks!
The engine is powerful and the CVT is smooth. I can pass cars with incredible swiftness, and the handling is tight and responsive. Mine is dark slate with black leather interior. Many people have approached me to ask about the car, especially after tinting the windows. Not that I look around too often, but this car is a head-turner! The Bose stereo is great, and I love the XM satellite radio package. It is also nice to have the bluetooth hands-free phone system. I researched a lot of new cars, and for the price, this one is the best!

You won't be disappointed!
Red, premium package, technology package, just fully loaded. I had saved up and was ready to get a new 2008 Infiniti G37. I wanted to drive this car before purchasing it however. Wow great choice! Great Bose system, amazing comfort, awesome power, fantastic handling. This car just blew me away. 2 things differ from the G37 and this car. This car is front wheel drive which in the winter is going to be a big plus. However off the blocks the G does a bit better (glad I am not racing anyone). This car however has much more room inside, and the comfort is what sold me. Every feature you could want is offered on this car. For 28k out the door it's a no brainer between this and the G37.

Best of both worlds
I had no plans to buy this car. I was looking to replace my 1996 300zx tt, which I sold a few years ago. My wife was complaining about having 3 cars to deal with in the driveway. My daily driver is a 2003 altima. I pulled up next to one and it really caught my eye. The next day I went to the dealership and took a test drive. I knew I would be taking it home. Although, not a 300zx tt, it is sporty quick, fits the 5y/o in the back seat and is only one car in the driveway. Drive it and you'll buy it!

I like my new Altima
Have only owned a week, and came from owning a '97 Jeep Wrangler for the past 10 years, so my auto experience is rather limited. Needless to say, I love my new Altima. Very roomy - am 6' and have plenty of leg/head room. The back seats have comfortable space as well. The clutch is shorter than my old Wrangler's and the response is worlds better. The 270 HP is nice on the highway. Steering feels good at high speeds. The fuel economy is OK, but wasn't expecting much with the engine size. I like the layout of the internal controls, very intuitive.

By Regretting Purchase on May 11 @ 3:40 pm
Be Careful!
First hour off the lot, I already had problems. I looked up at the pillar on the driver's side (the spot where the headliner meets above the window), and I see a wet spot. Had to take it back to the dealer. Apparently there was a blockage in the drain hose from the sunroof. Next day, I get a call. The front of the car is soaking wet. The evaporator has also malfunctioned. So I bought the car Wednesday, drove for a total of 40 miles (20 miles home, and then 20 miles to the dealership), and will finally be able to drive it again Friday afternoon.

The Best car ever!
I absolutely love my Nissan Altima sedan. It is absolutely the most fun thing I have ever driven. It is also very spacious, and very quiet! The Interior is absolutely beautiful as well as the exterior. The keyless entry and push button start is so convenient, I never take my keys out of my purse.

Great little car.
Recently bought the car for my wife. Have taken it on a few short road trips. Car is fun to drive, fuel economy was out of this world, powerful beyond belief.

Don't judge a book by its cover.
I've got to say that this is an absolutely incredible car and I would definitely say it is the best in its class. I looked at all of the coupes at this price point including Tiburon, Eclipse, Solara, etc., and this by far is the nicest. The only thing that would be nice, would be a nicer interior. The interior isn't that bad as compared to the sedan in my opinion, but could definitely use work. But other than that, I've had no problems and absolutely love this car!

Altima coupe 2.5S CVT
Purchased in June. Great looking car. Plenty of power. Handles well but the ride is too soft, a bit mushy for me. Car feels as if it's floating at certain speeds, mainly under 40 mph. Brakes a bit touchy but seem powerful. Visibility is very good except for backing up. Big blind spot. Need to be very good at using mirrors. Great looking color in the Azure Blue, but very, very hard to keep clean. Curious to see how it handles the snow, I live in the northeast. MPG is OK.

Awesome car
I intended to buy a Altima coupe, after driving a coupe for 4 years. After sitting in the coupe and seeing that I probably couldn't get my golf bag to fit in that trunk, I made the decision to go with the sedan instead. Best decision! The Altima 3.5 SL sedan is absolutely amazing. It's loaded with every possible option under the sun. The ride is quiet, and the transmission is an engineering marvel. Extremely powerful and fuel efficient, and best of all it has a very sporty look. I like the blonde leather, and it spells class with just enough touch of the wood trim. This car lives up to the hype, and then some.

My first new car... ever!!! 2.5 SL pkg
This is my first new car purchase. Was gonna get a Subie Legacy but didn't like the way it shifted. Camry is bland, boring, and dealers wouldnt haggle with me. G35x was my dream car that never came true (lotta bread for that car). My friend bought an Altima and I was taken away by the tranny. Felt like a 6 cylinder to me and the smoothness and pickup was impressive.

Fell in love at first sight
Have had 2 Nissan Maximas and was ready to turn in my lease for a 4 door Altima 2007. When I saw the 2 dr coupe, I fell in love at first sight. The car is awesome on gas which was exactly what I needed (driving 6 cyl Max for ten years). Not as spacious as the Max, however still comfortable and fun to drive. To date, have only seen 5 on the road... cool! Have been stopped by people on the road wondering what model it is. Truly love the car!

By Chayce on February 7 @ 7:30 am
I love it/I hate it
This a very fun car to drive and my wife and I both enjoy the balance of comfort and performance. However, the navigation package is practically useless because many of the features are not usable while the car is moving. It drives me crazy. So, either don't buy the navi and get a Garmin or buy a car that has a functional navigation system.

Altima still needs some improvement
I bought the Altima 2 weeks ago and I don't know how to describe the feeling of looking at the 2008 Altima 3.5 SE (V-6!!). It's beyond great. But the problems are there, I can't ignore it. After a couple days of driving it, I found the suspension noise to be very loud and found it to be annoying (sounds like it's rusted metal, a "squeak" sound). Two, the build material or overall finish of the interior was made with cheap material. The 2 front side of the door also made a "squeak" noise when you pressed upon it or when the car turned and your leg/thigh leaned against it.

By Charlie Zarzour on May 8 @ 5:16 am
Fun to drive and looks great
I had been shopping for a small sports car, but when I saw the 2 door coupe my mind changed. The 3.5 270 hp engine is very fast. Price point on the car is tough to beat for the horsepower, features and looks. I would recommend the Premium package and also the 3.5 over the 2.5. The 2.5 is better on gas mileage, but the 3.5 will put a smile on your face when you push down on it. This is my third Nissan. Had a Stanza with 180,000 and Frontier with 145,000. You can not beat Nissan quality. I do a lot of interstate driving and the gas mileage is good. On 2 lane roads the car passes other cars with a lot of confidence.

By Tobyboy on December 18 @ 6:46 am
Nissan got it right
Let me start off by saying I love cars and have many, many cars. My favorite vehicle prior to this purchase was my GS 300 Lexus. This Altima is now is my favorite car. It has it all, interior and exterior style, comfort, technology and gas economy. Nissan got it right! I started out wanting a 4 cylinder car that is not a crap box. Most manufacturers will make the 4 cylinder the stripped down model, with no leather, limited options, etc. Nissan approaches this market differently. They take the same vehicle that is available in the more pricey 6 cylinder and simply put a 4 cylinder in its place. This car is near perfect. Accelaration with the 4 is more than adequate.

By Dawn on October 5 @ 10:06 am
Picked over a Honda & Toyota
We completely love the car. We picked this car over a Honda Accord and a Toyota Camry. We drove all three and the lowest model of the Nissan had a smoother ride then the Accord or Camry. I have always loved Hondas and have owned one but the Nissan's ride and look was much nicer. The Camry and Altima both have a great style but you get more for the money with the Nissan and the ride was better also. If you are thinking about the Altima you can’t go wrong. One warning, if you want the 3.5, get your insurance quote first, the 2.5 was not that bad.

Don't See the Issues
Compared to the Toyota Solara (4 cyl) I've driven for the past four years (disliking it more every day) the Altima Coupe 2.5 S is an exhilarating experience. The Altima accelerates quickly, the Solara hesitates; the Altima gives you a feel for the road, the Solara drives like a big luxury car. If you're looking for something that drives like a "land yacht", buy the Solara. If you're looking for something that's just fun to drive, the Altima is a good choice.

"The Altima: Top of the Class"
Before I purchased the Altima I test drove 5 different vehicles, Hyundai Sonata, Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Saturn Aura, and the Ford Fusion. The Altima was the best ride, quite with sufficent power. I purchased the Altima Sedan 2.5S automatic with CVT. The exterior is sporty but not overdone. The interior is spacious even for myself at 6ft. 3in. The car is great on gas, city and highway, 25-34. I did not get any extra packages, since the car is already pretty equipped. Well worth the price. I liked it better all around than the other vehicles I mentioned previously.

By Andrea on March 2 @ 8:13 am
Love it!
This was a birthday gift from my husband. My first new car! Love the interior. The iPod hook up is perfect! The homelink is awesome. No more clunky garage door opener. The power isn't as good as my old Ponitac GTP, but this gets twice the gas mileage! Overall I am very, very happy with the vehicle. Stylish and young looking, yet it's a great family sedan.

By Dero210 on December 25 @ 9:23 pm
WOW! Great car for the money
Well, I traded my 05 GTO for the keys of an 07 Nissan Altima due to a baby on the way and all I can say is WOW. The interior is very roomy with a lot of head and leg room and a great amount of places to stash your extra belongings (wallet, mp3, cell phone). Even though the power is not comparable to a 6.0L v8 GTO, it was way more then I ever expected from a 3.5L V6. My first vehicle was an old Maxima and Nissan really makes some reliable cars. Combine that with some nice interior and head turning stlye and you have one great car.

Glad to be back
I have owned a number of new vehicles and had left Nissan when I had a paint issue with my 2001 Altima. My last car was a 2004 Camry and when it came time to trade I headed back thinking I was going to like the new Camry's & was very disappointed. My husband & I decided to try Nissan again and fell in love with a 2008 Altima. Even though it's a 4cyl. with the CVT it's perfect. The price, style and options were amazing for the price. It definitely beat Toyota's line up. If you want something sporty, economical and fun to drive, this is it.

Pretty satisfied
Ok, so I've been reading the reviews here and I must say, consumer knows best indeed. I purchased my 08 Altima on 10/19 and it has been a thrill! I love to CVT. I was going to going to get the 3.5 but my pockets wouldn't allow me. I happened to approach a 2.5 S that had leather seats put in along with the woodgrain kit so i went with it. I love the overall design and feel of the car. Great gas mileage. I just recently totalled out my Monte Carlo SS and needed some new wheels quick and this car saved the day. If you're looking for a low-key, stylish ride, this car is for you!

Nissan cars have always been very reliable and good cars. The new Altimas are also one of the coolest looking cars on the road. The Nissan 3.5 liter engines are very quick. The CVT works great.

Finally, someone built a fun car again
I waited until I made a good deal on this car before I test drove it. I was not in any way disappointed. I've been carefully breaking it in over the past few weeks and I like it more each time I drive it. My dogs can get in the back seat easy and seem to enjoy the view when they go for a cruise. All instruments are laid out to use easily. I'm going easy the 1st few thousand miles so I'm doing things in stages. I like the keyless starting and all the displays. The a/c works fine and the std radio is good. I didn't get the 3 high $$ options but I did get the cheap 3 and the new homelink/compass option mirror - a great deal! Only 3 other cars in 38 years have had me so excited.

Our Nissan
Living in the state of West Virginia, we drive a lot of hills and curves; our new Nissan Altima Coupe makes driving those easy and fun. Curves are made a lot smoother and the car does not lean like my old car use to do. The autostick gives you manual when you need it especially when coming down a mountain, what a brake saver. We love it.

Sweet Ride
For the past few years I have been a dedicated Toyota Camry fan. When I did the research and drove the Nissan Altima I was very impressed. The car has great style and performance that puts my prior vehicle to shame. I recommend this vehicle to everyone who wants great value for the money.

I love my Altima
It was time for me to get a new car and I could not be happier that I chose to get an Altima! I also considered a Mazda3, the new Honda CRV and the Camry and Accord. The Altima was the perfect combination for me. It is a roomy car with great amenities, but also has styling that I like. It looks a little sportier than some of the competitors.

Love My Coupe
I had been admiring the coupe since February. I thought it look so much like the G35. I started checking out the pricing and said Bingo! I've been driving a Toyota Solara for 5 years and was looking for something sporter. I purchased a "Code Red" coupe and I love it. Heads turn as I whiz by. When I park, people stop me to talk about the car. I always find reasons to go out to drive. It has great pick up and go. Love that I don't see a lot on the road!

This is one awesome car!
My super black 3.5 SE coupe is comfortable, great looking and most importantly, extremely fun to drive! I test drove a Lexus IS 250 the same day and there was no comparison. As a former Maxima owner, I have always been impressed by the quality and performance of Nissan cars and this coupe is no exception. It's quick, handles very well and turns heads. I haven't even let my wife drive it yet and I've had it a week!

My thoughts
This is an awesome car, it rivals cars that cost 20-30,000 dollars more, trust me I drove them all. It needs a smoother ride and the driver's side blind spot to be fixed, in addition at 5'10" I feel as though I am too short for the car and as if I am below the sweet spot looking out. All told it's a great car and with a few minor adjustments it would be great, I'm very satisfied with it.

By Charles on June 11 @ 4:30 pm
Best Car ever, except for Bose Speakers
I got this car brand new with 2 miles on it and have not stopped loving it ever since. I was looking at the Camry as well as the Accord, but the Altima stood up ahead of the other two. The CVT is awesome. For a 4 cylinder, it drives like a 6 cylinder. My only problem is that there is a rattling noise when I turn up the Bose speakers to volume 15 of 32. It sounds like something is loose in either the dash or the passenger door.

By Neil on May 22 @ 3:00 pm
What a car!
I traded my '99 A6 for this Altima and have ZERO regrets. Handling is similar. The Altima with the 2.5 4-banger eats the Audi for lunch. Amazing power for a 4 cyl. The suspension is just stiff enough to feel sporty, yet does not sacrifice comfort. I've been actively trying to find something to find fault with, but have no complaints. Excellent value for the price. The fit and finish are top notch. Even the stock sound system was good enough that I didn't go for the Bose.

I picked the Altima SL over Infiniti G35
This car is awesome to drive. I'm usually interested in the next class up in cars - saab, volvo, audi, infiniti, but for affordability and performance I had to have the new Altima. Its features beat out many of the Infiniti G35, which I was seriously looking at buying. With a family on the way, we needed something with a big backseat this has it. Its sporty styling is a great match for the sporty and responsive drive experience. I can't wait to get past the recommended 1200 mile break in period so I can drive this car like it want to be driven - FAST. I'm proud to say I'm a Nissan owner and love driving my Altima any chance I get. I also like there aren't many of these on the road yet.

Super Coupe
I just purchased the coupe on 12 November, so far it is excellent. What a ride, smooth powerful and reliable. People stop and stare at the car, my friends all love it, the quality is awesome. Nissan outdid themselves with this one. I looked at a lot of cars and the first time I saw it, I was hooked. Drive it and you will buy it.

Fun to Drive!!
It’s almost a month since I have this car and I love it! I’m a father to a 5 month old baby girl and whenever we go out she goes to sleep. The suspensions are awesome, excellent ride, very good acceleration! Mid-sized sedan with a character of a sports car!

2.5 SL w/nav and Loving It
I traded in 2 gas guzzlers, 15.5 and 18.5 mpg. I'm now getting 27 mpg traveling the same route. I always wanted an Infiniti but couldn't justify the price, mpg, and rwd. The 2.5 is fine performance wise, the SL, connection, and nav packages give you everything you could need. Things I miss are memory seats, power pass seat, and folding mirrors. The 3.5 folding mirrors with turn signals will swap out for less than $300. The car has state of the art features and is well put together. I purchased on 11/12/07 and have 500 miles on her. I'm looking forward to many more.

Great sedan. Without transmission delay and with the powerful 2.5l engine's drive, it's really a great experience for a driver. Lots of fun, all of my family loves it: toddler, husband, wife. We really love it.

Just bought 2008, 3.5 with Tech Package
Great looking car! Fun to drive. Accelerates great. Nice interior look. Gauges easy to use and read. Have the navigation system. Very easy to use. Nice readout. Fuel economy is just OK. About 22 mpg combined, with 1000 miles on it. It takes a while to get used to the keyless entry with no key for the ignition. Bluetooth set up is great with cell phone. Voice recognition system is TERRIBLE for both navigating and trying to phone someone. Went to the dealer twice now with no help. It is about 40-50 % accurate, which is not acceptable to me. Navigation and phone features "gray out" once you start to drive. Supposedly a safety feature, but very annoying.

Buy One!
Traded in my 2003 Murano for the 08 Altima coupe with Premium and Technology packages. Drove Honda Accord, Civic, Camry; none compared. Much quieter, sportier, better features. Drives like a dream around corners and on fwy. Got MSRP out the door inc. Phantom recovery system. Added 6-yr. full extended warranty for $850. Love the Red exterior/tan interior combo. First tank of gas averaged 28 city/hwy. Sweet steering and CVT make it a dream to drive. Love the convenience of Intelligent Key, Bluetooth, and navigations system.

Excellent purchase
I love everything about this car. It was an impulse buy for me but have no regrets. The moment I saw the car I knew I had to have it. The car drives very smoothly, and has some get up and go power. The gas mileage is remarkable!

Awesome!!
I purchased this over Thanksgiving and I love it! It's very solid and hugs corners well. I previously owned a 2004 Camry and it also was solid but it lacked style and power. You won't be disappointed. I bought mine in Georgia while on vacation and drove it back to Chicago. All I can say is "WOW". It feels like a luxury sedan without the luxury price. If you buy the baselne it's worth adding the SL Package.

Smooth, Powerful, Fun to Drive
This car is fun. I've only been driving it a few days, but I can't get enough of it. The powerful 3.5 with 270hp is more than enough and the CVT handles the power so well, you literally do not feel a "shift", it's amazing!

Finally! A Good Car
I just purchased my Altima and I love it. I love the way it handles, the interior is really nice also. I test drove the Hyundai and the Kia Optima and you can't compare them to the Altima. Forget the Toyota Camry unless you like an old lady looking car.

I Love My Niss!
I came across the fact of needing a new car, school commuter. I'm very picky when choosing stuff that I'll invest my money on, specially a vehicle! I went around lots of dealers trying to find a car that would meet my expectations and most of all, fit my budget! I test drove the New Accord, Civic, CRV, Toyota Camry, VW passat & jetta and even the new Nissan Rogue, I wasn't even thinking about getting an Altima. I went to the dealership on a saturday morning and ended up spending 4 hrs getting info on the new altima. I test drove and let me tell you, I couldn't b happier! I fell in love with the car in an instant! Ive had it for 2 months n have no regrets! I love my 08 sedan!

Great car!!
Got my coupe at the end of October after waiting over a month for it to be made in Japan. I wanted to have a specific configuration so I had to wait for it to be custom made and shipped over. It was worth the wait!!! It drives like a dream and looks like it is moving even when it's parked. The CVT is exactly as they advertise it. I drive in an area with a lot of hills and never feel the car shift. I suggest getting the SL package if possible as it adds many great features that really give it the feeling of a luxury car.

Not So Great Experience
I purchased my vehicle, everything was great until I rolled the drivers side window down to experience a sound like breaks scrapping. Took it in for service, they addmited not ever hearing of this issue before, they called Nissan tech support, they advised to replace the door seals. Today is day 6, they told me vehicle is ready for pick up and that sound I am hearing is characteristic of that vehicle, huh??? I contacted Nissan Consumer affairs still waiting... Make sure if your looking you roll the window down and listen for any strange sounds. In my case, it would happen at 50mph. In addition the dash digital display had to be replaced, can you say lemon

2.5S Review
Power-Band is that of the 350Z. The 2.5 is smooth and has power throughout each gear. Granted, it doesn't have the horsepower of the 3.5, but it makes up for that in MPG. 175hp is plenty while city driving, and it performs excellent on the interstate. The styling speaks for itself, as it is a great looking coupe. Not very many cars today are in its class. Very well priced for what you receive.

By Gwen on April 21 @ 2:20 am
not comfortable for long distance trips
I bought an Altima with cloth seats and I just want to note that driving in this vehicle for more than 45 minutes can really make your back and tailbone start hurting. I drive an hour each way to work sometimes more and I just can't wait to get out of the car. For short trips, the cars great! It is a beautiful car, if comfort is what you're looking for, I'd look elsewhere.

By shainlinecourt on May 5 @ 10:40 am
Best on the road for the price
We've only had this car for about a week and we have over 500 miles on it already. We got the sl pkg which bumped the car up a bit in price but worth it. I drove the 3.5 and it wasn't worth the extra money in my opinion. The 2.5 is plenty fast for what we do and most others. I did a lot of research and feel this is the best out there at this price point.

By heidi.alt on October 28 @ 4:43 pm
Disappointed, though not giving up on it
Bought coupe in August; have now had it 4 months. Ordered it in early Aug. & waited 7 weeks to take delivery. Unfortunately, it seems in their haste to meet early demand, production lines may not have been as fine-tuned as they should have been. In addition to various rattles & exterior seams that do not line up well, including the hood & trunk, I've already replaced the oil pan after an oil leak at the 3-month mark. As of the 4-mo mark, only 1300 miles on the car. Positives: beautiful interior, including intuitive instrument cluster, radio, climate control and comfortable seats; 6 airbags std; decent value for the $. Negatives: worse-than-anticipated fuel economy, big blind spot, tiny trunk.

By Dbubba on April 15 @ 7:46 pm
So far so good
Like most who have driven this car I found that the 2.5 with CVT is a good combination of power and efficiency. I own several large vehicles so fuel cost is a concern with my daily driver. With only 50 miles on it my car is already posting an average of 27 mpg vs the 14 my truck gets. Nissan has done a good job with isolating the driver from engine and transmission noise common on 4 cylinder engines. when driven normally you can barely hear the engine.

By Mke on November 18 @ 11:56 am
Where's the downside?
I have had this Altima 2.5SL for a week. I love the car. Brand new it averages 29 mpg. It is reasonably luxurious, comfortable, quiet, and smooth. I'm still waiting to find something I don't like. What an awesome car!

What a difference
I recently purchased my 08 fully loaded V6 6Sp to replace my 350z, the quality of the car is a step up from the 350z which was priced higher when new. I also had a 2002 3.5 se 5 speed altima that I loved and this car is 400x better in every way. The feel, the quality of the materials, the options make this car a rich car for the money. The altima handles great and is plenty fast with bluetooth, navi, backup camera to satisfy my tech cravings. All in all I am extremely pleased with the car, although I miss the sweet purr of the 350z exhaust, but thats fixed easy.

Very enjoyable car to drive. Quick, corners well, Premium Package adds lots of luxury touches. Looks amazing and you do not see thousands of them on the road. I cannot believe Edmunds likes the Accord Coupe better, my family and I saw one the other day and nobody liked the looks of it at all.

Best sedan hands down
This has to be the most powerful & smooth 4 cylinder engine ever built. Not worth the extra for the 6 cylinder, trust me. The drive and handling are comparable to that of a $40k-$50k sedan. Interior is quiet, comfortable and extremely roomy. You get alot of car for the money, with great standard features. Vehicle is sleek and classy yet sporty all at once. Great gas mileage as well. Excellent all around car!

Fun & Comfort
The car drives very smooth, the CVT is amazing. Surprising acceleration for a 4 cyl. The SL package, though expensive, comes with everything one could ask for. The controls are well placed and easy to use. Tons of storage space in trunk and lots of small hidden storage places inside the car. Excellent car!

Curiosity
I have just purchased this vehicle within the last week. It hasn't quite been a week yet. I've only driven it around the city and have yet to test it out on the road. So far I like the way it feels when driving. The ride is smooth. I love the exterior design and the quality seems to be good. As far as the reliability, I will have reserve comments on that for now. I am satisfied with the interior design as well.

Altima is a sweet ride!!!
I bought the 4cyl Altima w/the Tech Package. I tried the Accord, and Camry, but for the entire package the Altima is hands down a finer car. The CVT is out of this world, the Bose radio has an excellent sound, the smooth ride, plus I got the bluetooth & navigation system, the keyless entry no looking for keys or buttons to push (except to start the car). I got 28mpg on the 1st tank of gas also. The only thing I failed to get was the Xenon headlights that come on the 6cyl only. Plenty of power though at 178hp. I am very pleased at having bought this car. You will too!!

Great Car
The Altima coupe is a great car. It is a very attractive car from all angles and the ride lives up to the looks. The 2.5 engine produces enough power for quick accelerations and passing on the highway. The interior is well thought out and the quality of materials used is top notch. With the premium package, I have the same features, Bluetooth, leather, heated seats, power driver seat, sunroof, steering wheel controls, Bose stereo system and XM radio that my friend has in his BMW 3 series which cost $20,000 more. The overall build quality is very good on the car both inside and out. The rear seats are not huge but are large enough for two adults to sit comfortably for shorter trips.

Great ride, smooth acceleration, the CVT is awesome. Very comfortable driver's seat, power lumbar support is a nice feature. I've owned a Toyota Camry and Honda Accord - both are great cars - but this Altima is a great combination of both a sporty drive and great gas mileage, and a slightly better price than Toyota or Honda. I hope it holds up as well as my Toyotas and Hondas.

Very Satisfied First Time Nissan Buyer
Having had a V6 Accord and VR6 Jetta in the past, I can honestly say that this is the sportiest sedan I have ever owned by a longshot. The low growl of the engine every time I step on the gas reinforces my purchase decision. Love the tekkie features like the push button start and bluetooth capability. Best Car 2008 - Fast
Once I saw this car it took less than 48 hours to decide to buy and I have no regrets! Although not as comfortable as my Buick Century, it's more fun to drive and lots better gas mileage. I wanted an affordable 2 door coupe and the Altima was it. I've had this car about a month and no tickets yet although when I drive it I want to go really, really fast! Super car. Getting into the back seat is tricky but then again I didn't buy this car to use the back seat often. I did notice the blind spots but now that I own one they don't seem to be a big deal.

2008 Altima 2.5S nice but could be bette
I like the inside and outside style of the vehicle. The layout of the controls on the dash are very user friendly. Good gas mileage and surprising pep in starting from a stop. Not the best vehicle for 6 ft or taller people since steering wheel (even though telescopic) does not extend enough if seats are set back for leg room. Wish Nissan could have added 1 or 2 more inches to the extension.

Finally a Stand Out Sedan!
I just purchased this car Jan. 7 and found out that this car really runs great with no jittering feeling when the car shifts gears thanks to the CVT. It really made a big difference. It accelerates good and has a special feature for those who were locked out of their cars. This one won't lock you out and I found out about it accidentally. Put my back pack in the trunk without knowing that my key is in one of its pockets and the trunk keep popping up everytime I tried to close it till I realized that the car key is on it. What a relief, I don't have to call a locksmith.

Beautiful but engine blown after 68miles
My silver 3.5SE coupe was a sight to be seen. The interior styling is sleek and modern. The Bose stereo sounds crisp and clear, and is paired to a crisp NAV display. The car drove smooth yet powerful and handled very well. Unfortunately after 20 hours of ownership and 68 miles driven, the engine "blew" (Nissan service center's words). Nissan refuses to replace the car, their final decision is to only replace the engine.

I LOVE this car
We took delivery of our car about a week ago, and from the moment I sat in it, I was thrilled. It's fast, it's sporty, it's fun. I love the acceleration and the CVT is perfect for this car. This is a great car. I enjoy driving it very much. I have owned many nissan models for the past 20 years and I was an employee for nissan for a short time. I love the car a lot however I find the interior material fit and finish chip quality. There are some annoying clicking sound comes from? Dashboard area where windshield meets the dashbord. Also time to time I hear cracking sound from the sunroof which is extremely annoying. The headliner on the back has came off a bit and looks like crap.

Great Ride!
I opted for a fully loaded 3.5 SE including the tech pkg and VDC; I struggled deciding whether or not to just get the prem pkg (no nav), but I am VERY happy with my decision. I love the bluetooth, XM radio, nav system with XM NavTraffic updates, & all of the voice activated commands. The car has excellent handling capabilities despite the front drive setup and the 3.5 V6 is as sweet as they come! My gas mileage has been surprising great (22 city/26 hwy) and the CVT's manual mode is a real hoot. I highly recommend this car to anyone cross shopping the Accord, Camry, or Malibu (and even the G35, 325i or C300). No regrets!

Poor Man's Infiniti
I was ready to buy Accord, but felt I should at least drive an Altima. Wow. Internet pics dont do car justice. Very smooth, refined, and the cvt is so sweet and the sound system is solid. First tank of gas the mileage was not that good, mainly because of my desire to get the know the power of those 270 horses. 2nd tank of gas resulted in average of 26mpg -- which was 75% highway and 25% city. I know I am sacrificing 4-5mpg for v6 instead of v4, but I can live with it.

Great Car
I bought a Honda CRV in July 2007 and was very disappointed in the gas mileage (17 mpg). So in December 2007 I decided to try the Nissan Altima (2008). I was very surprised at the pickup that this car had for a 4 cyl. (the Honda had a 4 cyl. too but was not as peppy). So after spending a couple hours at the dealership working out the details, I drove out being the proud owner of a 2008 Nissan Altima 2.5 S. Right off the bat my mileage around town is 25 mpg. There aren't any sedans in this class that really come close to 25 mpg. I really love this car. It handles like a dream and is very sporty. I had owned 3 Maximas before buying the Honda and from now on, I'll only buy a Nissan.

By J. R. on October 14 @ 7:40 am
Hard Vibrating ride
I purchased the 2.5SL Altima for three main reasons. Fuel economy, style and price. Those are the good things. I noticed a vibration in the front end, on the drive home, between 63 and 70 mph (approx 20 miles). Took it to a tire shop to check the balancing, that helped, but didn't solve it. I'm on my third trip to the Nissan shop. If this doesn't fix the problem, I will have to consider another vehicle. The vibration and what I would consider a hard ride, has soured me. I still like the style and fuel economy and would love to have the vibration issue fixed. I will check the tires for overinflation from the factory. That may improve the hard ride.

First New Car, Love It
Had the car for a month and look forward to driving it every time. 4 cylinder is surprisingly quick and quite zippy. Just tapping the accelerator makes the car want to dash right off the starting line. CVT is wonderful as well. Had an old automatic Mazda Protege and I could feel each and every gear change. Now, I just drive, smoothly too. Interior is roomy. I can fill each seat and all the passengers are comfy with enough leg room. A lot of compartments to store stuff. Glove box is cavernous. Doors give a nice solid thunk when closing.

By katydid on July 13 @ 4:33 am
I love the car; however...
The car drives wonderfully with great pickup. Around town driving got 20 mpg on the first two tanks and 21.8 on the third. Lots of well-designed storage space. The basic radio/cd player sounds great and picks up far-away stations. I love the fold-down back seats. Here's the however: My car's taillights leaked when I got the car. The sensor on the passenger side airbag turns the bag off sporadically when a 160-190 lb adult sits on that side. The dealer can't find the problem. There is no manual override to force the airbag to function, so my passengers are sometimes in danger. The "you've left your key in the car" alarm sounds when my key is in my pocket outside the car.

Excellent Car
Very sporty, fast, comfortable, and extremely fun to drive. Perfect blend of speed, power, and agility. This car will make your heart pump on the highway, and look professional in the office parking lot. The technology package is worth the additional money. The seats are comfortable and provide many different options, it's a spacious car, and reasonably quiet. The shifting is smoother than any car I've been in. Bottom line for the features and reliability you get, there is no other car that can match the price. I am so happy with my Altima.

Very happy with my Purchase so far
I'm very happy with my purchase so far. I was looking for a car with luxury plus fuel economy. I have gotten that with my Altima 2.5SL. Surprisingly enough, the performance on the car is not bad and I hardly miss the Supercharged power of my GTP that I traded in.

Family Sports Car
It looks like a mundane family hauler, but handles and drives like a sports car if you get on the gas. The 3.5 engine is so powerful, and the CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission) is very smart and seems to read your mind. If you just cruise around town, the CVT keeps the engine revs low to save gas, but if you give it more throttle, it quickly lets the engine spin up (no shift lag) and it MOVES. When shifted "manually" the CVT shifts very quickly through the preset 6 speeds. Can feel bumps with the SE vs SL (luxury) version, but it's a reasonable trade-off for larger wheels, better shocks and stiffer anti-roll (sway) bars. Steering a bit numb, but sticks well in curves. I love it!

What can I say about this car ? If the styling doesn't get you, the performance will! I purchased mine fully loaded w/o the GPS and haven't stopped smiling since. Extreme CVT at Value Price
This is a sporty car with midsize roots and value pricing in its segment. The Altima's CVT and engine mating and an interior that we found best in the class for us make it a home run. Drive the manual shift CVT on a twisty road and you will smile all the way home. The power bands are beautifully executed. CVT does great even in hills. Bravo Nissan engineering!

I love the car! I was driving an older Infiniti I30 with a V6 before I purchased my altima and really the 4cyl is almost as peppy! It's a super sporty sedan. I am so glad that I decided to go with the altima rather than the accord. I HIGHLY reccomend this car.

A Great Starter Car
This car was my first at 17 years old. It's a silver 2008 Nissan Altima coupe 2.5S with 2.5S convenience package. For those, who are looking for a decent car for decent money, buy this car. It looks epic on the outside and spectacular on the inside. I bought it because it comes with some things that the Toyota Solara doesn't. Drives well, very powerful for a 4-banger, 175 horsepower is definitely enough for a starter car. Has 6 standard airbags and great crash test ratings. Intelligent Key is outta this world. Radio puts out a good crisp and clear sound. CVT manual mode is a definitely blast for those looking a little something extra. Gas mileage is okay at 25-28 mpg. Great car!

2008 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL
Bought this car to replace my Xterra. I drove it from Houston, TX to Fort Walton Beach, FL and only had to refill the tank one time and still had 3/4 of a tank left when I reached my destination! Very quiet in the cabin. The Bose system sounds great. Love the dual climate control and heated seats. I recommend if you get the sunroof NOT to get a wind deflector because there is one already built into the car that pops up when the sunroof is opened.

Very happy with the Altima
The 4 cyl is surprisingly responsive and the CVT makes it so you don't even feel the car shift. Lots of interior room. We traded in an 02 Passat which had lots of interior space, but the Altima actually has more. We have two small children and everyone fits in the car very comfortably. Extremely comfortable leather seats. Controls are easily accessible and lots of compartments for your stuff. The dash layout is very nice as well.

Best for your money!!
I previously leased an 05 Altima 2.5S and absolutely loved that car. I was a little nervous about leasing the 08, hoping that they knocked all the kinks of the new model out. This car truly is awesome!! They bumped up the safety features by making side curtain air bags and ABS brakes standard. I now have 8 speakers instead of 6, don't let the stock fool you. Plug in your iPod and the car is amazingly loud, don't need any kickers here!!!! CVT is really nice, no kick backs or sudden jolts, just nice and smooth. I've only had the car for a few weeks so the MPG aren't too great but hopefully in the future it will be better.

Linking fogs with Tech package is just dumb, but dealer installed fogs with small rocker switch on lower left instrument panel which was made for it. Should be included in SL! Displayed mileage is 35 at 45 mph. Drops to 31.5 at 70 mph. My 6 cyl. 97 Avalon delivers 32-34 mpg at 70 mph, so not impressive, but per Nissan specs. Suburban/light-city mileage about 28 which is 6 better than Avalon, though. Acceleration with 4cyl/CVT is more than enough. Ride is more sports coupe like-you feel the bumps. Will ask dealer to look at air whistle in closed moon roof - otherwise nothing wrong.

GREAT Value
I actually put up an '07 for an '08 with more options, and both vehicles have been absolutely wonderful, and a BLAST to drive. GREAT fuel economy as I'm averaging 22-23 in cold temperatures, higher in the summer. Lots of options, and a GREAT value for the amount that you get. Wonderful performance, and the push-button start/Intelligent Key system is extremely convenient. I actually traded a Lexus for the '07, and I don't miss it a bit. The CVT is a great transmission as well, although it does take some adjusting to. It makes great use of the power band all throughout the RPM range, plus it has a surprisingly accurate manual mode.

Love My Nissan
Well I just bought it a week ago and so far I love everything about the car! It has a wonderful drive and even with a 4 cyl the put up is amazing! Coming from a V6 I was a little worried but the pickup really surprised me. The only thing I can think of that I would change would be the leg room for the driver. Being a very long legged person, after a long drive the leg room falls a little short. Other than that, so far this is by far the best sedan I've ever owned!

Good lord
I just traded in my 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee on this gem. Test drove the Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, Infiniti G35. This car was the best bar far. The features alone differentiate it from the others. I couldn't be happier. Perfect combination of form and function.

I like this car
I have had this car since October. This is the best car that I have ever owned. It drives great. I love the CVT except when going down hills. The transmission makes a humming noise. The dealer said this was normal and there was nothing to worry about. I like the keyless remote except I have to keep my windows and trunk locked, because they were opening. The dealer said that if the button hit something, that they could open your window and trunk. The only thing I didn't like was how Nissan packages their options. I really did not want a sun roof, but to get the leather seats, I had to get the sun roof. Also, I wished the outside mirrors would fold down.

Nissan Altima Rules!!
I was very happy with my purchase of a 2008 Nissan Altima. This vehicle is very fun to drive! The outside and the inside of the vehicle look very good! I get good compliments from people who see my new vehicle, they tell me that it looks very good! I enjoy driving my new vehicle in the city and it is smooth driving in the highway. Nissan did an excellent job with the Altima design and performance! In my book I give it 10 out of 10!

Best Of The Pack
Just bought our second Altima 2.5 cvt 2008 had 2006 2.5 and loved it. The new body style beats Toyota, Honda, Mazda, Mitshu, VW etc.. This is one fun car with a sports car appeal! Buy the convenience pkg! Color winter frost. I am a truck guy and bought this for my wife I can't wait each time I get to drive it it is an absolute pleasure. For the money you get one heck of a car and features! Buy it and don't look back!

Best Vehicle on the Market!
My wife and I needed to trade in her 2001 Nissan Xterra that had 95K+ miles on it. We were looking to purchase a 2008 Pontiac G6, but decided first test-drive the Altima before purchasing the G6. We both loved the Altima so much after our test drive that we purchased the vehicle that same day. We also own a 2007 GMC Envoy, but the Nissan is a much better ride. I was fairly sure that the next car I was going to purchase was going to be a General Motors vehicle, but Nissan makes too superior of a vehicle. I encourage anyone that is shopping for a safe and comfortable car to test drive the Altima. You will not be disappointed.

It works hard for the money!
Owner of this sweet altima for three months. The v-6 combines excellent power and decent fuel economy when mated to the CVT. The car looks more compact and muscular in person than in photos. Driving in city or highway is enjoyable with the smooth VQ engine and refined handling. the ride feels like a blend of comfort and sport and is well suited for the daily commute. The seats are comfortable and the ergonomics are excellent. Fast like a muscle car but more refined. Engine note suits the car well - quiet at idle, aggressive when pushed.

The New Altima
The car has been wonderful - I test drove the new Accord as well and the design isn't as nice as the Altima, and the new Accord seemed too bloated. Also, the price was right. It's fun to drive, I average 29 MPG in mixed driving, and through the curves the car can be extremely entertaining.

By Nathan on September 26 @ 10:23 am
Near Perfect Car
This car is beautifully styled, both inside and out. The ride is smooth and my 2.5 S engine is plenty powerful. All power and comfort items needed came standard with the base 2.5 S model. Really appreciate the standard iPod jack (some other manufacturers charge extra) though I hate its location - the cable runs down the console to the IiPod. The 2.5 S base model is a bargain for the money when bought right. The CVT is far superior to conventional automatic transmission. Keyless entry is great! Code Red is gorgeous and my black cloth interior is nice enough I didn't need the leather. I bought an unobtrusive aftermarket Stillen spoiler which really makes the car turn heads!

One Happy Customer
Test drove Honda Civic, Honda Accord and Nissan Altima. The horsepower (175 HP) for the 4 cyl was a welcome surprise! It takes a little getting used to a car that doesn't shift when driving. The CVT is great! The car also includes a lot of interior room. We have had four passengers fit comfortably in the car (front and rear seats). The Convenience Plus Package is a nice configuration. Interior includes a lot of storage places. The layout of the dash and the console controls is easy to use and well though out.

A Necessary Addition
When I was looking for a new car, nothing stood out more than the Nissan Altima Coupe. The look of the car and its uniqueness on the road alone sold me. It is very fun to drive and responsive for me. The seats are perfect and the basic package brought what I needed and not the extras I honestly see as unnecessary. The 4 liters saves gas and since I am a penny pincher with little money, this helps a lot and trust me, it can keep up on the highway. While you may find some gripe with the car, such as small trunk space and no existent back seat, honestly, this car is perfect for me as a teenage driver. Honestly, with 4 liters, I get the power I need and my parents do not have to worry like a V6.

By Aron on September 14 @ 4:33 am
Watch Out
Love this car. The acceleration is very impressive and the ride on the highways make the trip zoom by. Bluetooth option is much better than I have had before. Stereo system can really crank tunes. The key is super convenient. Very Happy with purchase and would recommend to all. Price, quality and fun.

3.5 SE with CVT
This is my first Nissan and my first CVT (other than a snowmobile). I had planned to get the Accord after trading in my Toyota Corolla since cutting my commuting distance. After researching and driving many different cars, I went for the base 3.5 SE for looks, features and I was impressed with the engine and CVT. After about 1000 miles, I can say the car is great, and I have no regrets. I would buy the same car again.

Love my Altima Coupe!
I originally drove an 03 Mazda Protege DX, which was my starter car. Got great gas mileage, however the safety became an issue with me after several close calls. I wanted to upgrade to something a little larger, with great safety ratings, good on gas mileage, and also, great style. This is everything I've been looking for! I love this car! With the power seat, it's pretty easy to get comfortable. The acceleration is beautiful for easy highway entrance, if you need to pass a vehicle it's a breeze. Everything on this car, from the look, to the driving experience, is smooth!

By btrotman85 on September 1 @ 4:00 am
Best family sedan ever made
The Altima beats all competitors by far. I am averaging 25 to 27 mpg in mostly city driving. The CVT is smooth, the ride is supple yet sporty, the handling is inspiring, the brakes are great, and even the four-cylinder is quite powerful. All controls are bright at night and everything is laid out nicely. Most any one can find a comfortable driving position as the power seat is highly adjustable

By Rich on June 25 @ 8:43 am
Great car but
Everything is great but I am disappointed with MPG. I average 26 and do mostly highway driving. Thought I would get 30 mpg. Also, the nav system is bad compared to garmin or others. It is stupid how to save a point, forcing you to go out and around and back it to name it. Also can not access your saved points while the car is moving. I feel stopping on a highway is FAR more dangerous than accessing your saved points as you get near your destination. Stay away from remote start, 3 tries and they still can not get it right with the push button start. My suggestion is NOT to go for the technology package. Voice command does not work either. Other than that I recommend the car.

This car is so much fun and so smooth! I love the look, the 4 cylinder has plenty of power and when I took it on the freeway it got 35 mpg. I have been averaging about 24-25 MPG on my daily commute which is short and mostly city. The back seat is small but my kids are grown and I really don't care. I folded the back seats down to use for storage.

Look out Europe, 3.5 rocks
I've owned the BMWs, Saabs, and prior to those, Maximas. Honestly, for the money, you can't miss here. The engine is very strong at all speeds, exhaust has a muted but otherwise nice growl. Does not handle like a BMW or Saab Aero, but will walk away from most with its 270 hp. Car has a solid feel and fresh design. Big enough to actually carry normal sized people! CVT is so smooth and has a nice manual mode - first automatic trans I've owned in 22 years - its that good. Have to buy the option packages to get all the features you'll want, but do it dude!

Very disappointed
My second review since buying in June of 07. The fuel economy is not good at all. Lucky to get 20 mpg in local driving. I live in the country where the roads are hilly and expect the mpg to be down a bit but can't see how I would ever get 25-27. The CVT is so intrusive at times, everytime the car goes downhill or around a corner with a downgrade it downshifts. At times this seems great but not all the time. Leaves you wondering. However I think if you live in less hilly areas performance would be better.

Love my Altima
The Altima is the best car in its class. Totally awesome good looks, sporty and extremely economical. I do a 50/50 split hwy and city. During normal driving mid 30s fuel economy. If I baby it, I've gotton close to 40 mpg. Gauges are easy to read day or night. Standard halogen lamps, push start, all standard. I love the fact that I never have to pull the keys out of my pocket. The 4cyl Altima easily beats 4 cyl Accord and Camry of the line and passes better as well. All for a car that is in the low 20s.

Honda Accord Owner for 15 yrs.
I have owned 5 Honda Accords over the last 15 years. I was about ready to buy another when I test drove the Altima. Immediately I could feel the difference. The Hondas are very smooth, reliaable and actually boring. I found the Altima fun to drive. I like the car more every day even though I've only had it for a month. The leather seats seem more comfortable than the Accord and I like the home link. Hats off to Nissan for finally making a car that I feel is comparable and even better than my reliable, plain Hondas.

Fun fun fun
Switching from a Yukon, it has been hard getting used to being the little girl on the road again, but this is the car to do it with! I drive a lot and I am getting 30 mpg average! Sporty, no longer look like the soccer mom, and fun to drive. Couldn't be happier with my choice. Kids are 13 (big and tall) and 10 (short and sweet) and fit just fine. No road noise, no wind noise, very well built car and 4cyl has plenty of strength, this coming from an 8 cyl girl (for over 10 years)! I have the basic, no bluetooth, no nav... and dont miss it a bit.

My 1st Nissan
After driving Toyotas for the last 20 years I was a bit apprehensive about buying a car that didn't say Toyota on it. But after driving my new 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe 2.5S I am totally impressed. It handles great, has tons of power, looks beautiful and gets an avg of over 28 mpg. Not bad considering I have been driving rather heavy footed. The seats take a little getting use to and the plastic on the inside of the car has an inexpensive feel to it. Not cheap but not too good either. The CVT is amazing. I think it and the engine are a great match. Nice job Nissan.

Chose A Winner
After shopping and comparing the same class vehicles this car won hands down! It's looks, power, handling and quiet ride together with the price is unbeatable. I bought the base 3.5 SE with the sport package and I might say there is nothing else I need in a car. Bottom line buy one and enjoy this winner.

2008 Nissan Altima - nice car
First let me say I love this car. I have had 4 weeks now and it is fun to drive. My only problem with it is that the Nav and phone have most of their features disabled when the car is moving. It's a car, these features should work while you are in it. I am now forced to fumble with my phone if I want to make a call, that is precisely the reason I bought a car with bluetooth, so I could be safe and not have to do this while the car was moving. In order to access your phone book the car must be stopped. In order to pick a new destination you have to stop the car, please make it so the passenger can operate the toys

Grownup style, with a rocket for a heart
The Altima is a lot of fun. It's the first new car I've ever owned, and it's neat to chart how it feels for the first thousand miles, and the next. I use the cruise control for long straight freeway trips, and get 32 MPG. In town, more like 24. I'm 6'3" and it fits me well. I think it really comes down to the rocket under the hood. I've never been happier to get behind the wheel and GO somewhere. It's really a great ride and I wholly recommend it.

This is the first nissan i have ever had. I came from a Toyota camry and I have to say the altima is much better. It is fast, very good pick up. I traded my 350z convertible for the Altima SL in november 07 because i needed more space.Never regretted the trade. I love the altima. Getting the L package was worth the money. None of my friends can believe the price. From the gas milage, 28 in the city to 35 on the freeway, to the comfort and space, this car is a bargain. The style is sporty, yet elegant. the trunk is spacious and so is the backseat. My son is 6'2" and has no problem in the backseat. Power is more than sufficient and the CVT works great. i took it on a 1500 mile roundtrip to San Antonio and never was uncomfortable. And i am 6'3". All things considered, my next car will be an Altima again when the time comes.

2008 Nissan Altima
If you're in the market for a midsize sedan, this is THE car to buy! I did a lot of reading and test driving of different sedans, and in the end, the Altima beat the Camry and Accord handily. Not only was the price far below the Camry and Accord, but the features list was higher than either of those choices as well! I got a 2.5 SL w/ Connection Package and the Bluetooth phone system rocks! The ikey and push-button start are so cool! The leather seats are very comfortable, and the controls are very intuitive and easy to use. The car is a blast to drive on curvy roads. It's also very peppy for a 4cyl. If you're looking for a new midsize sedan, check this out!

Unbelievable
I have had this car going on two weeks. It is one beautiful car. Handles crisply, esp around corners. For a 4 banger, it really goes! I test drove and researched many cars for about 6 months. For the bread, this is by far, the best deal. I feel good in this car, and enjoy many of the stares it gets. I have the slate color, with the convenience pkg. The seats are firm, but comfortable, even at 6'3, 230 pounds. My son is 6'5, he loves my car, and hijacks it from me every time he comes home, lol. I would highly recommend this car to anyone. Makes me feel young again.

It is a sleek looking car and caught my eye. The 4L is plenty powerful and the standard package is enough for anyone. I am 6'6" and I LOVE that there is no sun roof standard... if there was I would be able to fit inside. (Made me choose the Altima over the Civic Si) Thank you Nissan for that one. It is an overall fun and sporty ride with an exceptional interface between the engine and transmission.

Great car for the price
Bought the 2.5S after driving the new Accord and Camry. I have had the car for about 2 months and 2000 miles now and can say I have no regrets. Gas mileage is pretty solid, with 30-32 mpg highway and ~25 in city driving. CVT takes some getting used to, but it delivers the right gear and gets the most out of that engine.

Altima Quality Car for the Price
I have a 9 year old Nissan Maxima that I recently gave to my son. Only has 160,000 miles on it. I purchased in it's place a 2008 Nissan Altima with the SL Package. So far with 2800 miles I am very well satisfied. Doesn't curb as well as the Maxima but for the difference in the Price, I can live with it. I'm getting about 30 miles to the gallon on average.

3 Months 3000 Miles A+ So Far
This is my second Altima. My first was a 1995 that has almost 300,000 miles on it that I am keeping as a second car as it still runs great. How could I not by another Nissan? I love everything about this car. While I only have slightly less than 3000 miles on it I just got 34.5 mpg on a trip from Cincinnati to Memphis driving 70-80. Combined city/hwy I am averaging just under 30 mpg. To imagine getting this kind of mileage on a car of this size is hard to believe. My engine is hardly broken in! The styling is amazing and the interior is very spacious (I'm 6'2'). The CVT is awesome as is the keyless entry and trunk release. Push button start is great. Make this your next car!

Fantastic Car!
I traded my 2003 Tahoe for the 2008 Altima S yesterday. It had 6 miles on it when I drove it off the lot. It has 96 now. I love driving it. The gas mileage is great and the main reason for buying it. The style is a lot sportier than the Accord and Camry. I love the CVT. It is extremely comfortable and has lots of storage in the glove box and trunk. I've driven a V8 for the last five years and was happily surprised at the power in this 4 cylinder. I can't wait to take it on a long trip. My daugher loves the back seat. She has plenty of room and finds it very comfortable. The keyless entry and pushbuttom start are great. The ride is smooth. You can't go wrong with this car!!

Altima 2.5 coupe
The good: fun to drive, CVT great in auto and manual, more mpgs then epa states, 4 cyl plenty of power even on hill with a/c and cruise on! The bad: owners manual and dvd are vague on some operations, trip computer cumbersome to operate. Uses time to mileage rating that is grossly inaccurate unles reset each time you start moving! Psgr seat does not reset to preset back position when tipped forward, resets to an uncomfortable 90 degree position requiring manual reset. Initiate XM radio directions are non existent, user left on own to figure out. The ugly: power steering is over sensative, subject to wondering and oversteering at highway speeds but handles great otherwise. Smart key=big $

A Satisfying Purchase
At first, the CVT is weird. But after a while, I got used to it and start to have fun. Semi-auto is responsive. I used to have a Prelude. The only different btw these 2 is one has V6, the other 4 cylinder V-tech, take your pick. Rear-view camara is very useful (at least for my wife). Plenty of power. 3 inches more head room than Accord & Camry given that I have a "longer" torso and it's more comfy in this than in those 2 cars. I chose this over IS 250 because of the big interior.

Sweet Ride
What a sweet ride! I just wish my wife would let me drive it more. I researched for weeks which car to buy, started out with Camry in mind and then moved on to Accord. In the end we decided to test drive an Altima just for the heck of it, not really having considered it in the beginning. We immediately fell in love with the smooth quiet ride, power off the line, smoothness of the CVT, and push-button start! After reading owner reviews of all three models, most of the Altima owners showed a genuine enthusiasm for their new cars. I can definitely say the same!

I have over 4000 miles on mine and still love to drive it. The Bose stereo in it is awesome. I got mine w/ the premium pkg. I looked at the Accord but after lots of research and test drives I went with the Altima and I'm happy I did. I wanted something sporty w/ 4 doors and I feel I got that with the Altima. I replaced my '99 Explorer for a 2008 Altima and couldn't have made a better choice. The CVT is fun and smooth, 4 cylinder holds its own and the handling is great! I'm averaging 29.2 mpg at 25 mph!! Can't beat that with $4 gas prices around the corner. Plenty of room and the styling is sharp. I went with the black on black and got a low tint on my windows for the appeal. The car is SHARP and would recommend you buy this one if you get a chance!!

Double take
I have been looking for a car for the past year. Looked at Audis, Benzes, Lexus, Infiniti, Hondas, Toyotas and finally Nissan. I was leaning toward the Accord coupe V6 but when I saw the Altima coupe in precision grey, I was hooked. I got mine fully loaded and I can't believe all the looks and double takes this car receives. This car makes me want to leave work early just to drive and park around a group of people just for the comments.

Review
I really enjoy driving this car. Acceleration is surprisingly good with the smaller 4 cyl engine with excellent gas mileage. My only complaint is the limited choice of interior colors to match up with the available exterior colors. I chose the Winter Frost exterior color but was stuck with a black charcoal interior as the standard offering. I live in Texas and believe me the black charcoal interior can feel like an oven if left out in the sun too long.

37 mpg
I drive 220 miles a day round trip to work and back, all interstate driving. At 65 mph I'm achieving 37 mpg! Around town I get 27 to 28. The thing runs like a good v-6 would but its only a 4 banger! The one thing I don't like is that it feels like your falling out of the seat forward. I have to recline the back of the seat further than I would like so that it feels like I'm not falling forward. I also find the tire pressure warning light annoying. It's too sensitive to outside air temperature. Other than that we love it!

Regretting first ever new car buy
Love my car, it handles great. Steep curves feel like Sunday driving @ 55+mph. However I have paint drips in tire wells under the fender. Also, I want to pierce my ears to save myself the agony of listening to the screeching sound coming from somewhere on drivers side. Thought it was poorly designed side mirrors, now I am thinking its the tires. It is so horrible I wish I could take my car back. Forget about cruising with the sunroof open and windows rolled down, unless you want to know how it sounds for cats to die miserably.

Good Buy
What can I say, I have 7,500 miles on my Altima 2.5S. On a recent trip to Montreal I averaged 36 MPG highway at a steady 60 mph. Needless to say I was very happy on my return tip at 65 mph I averaged 32 mpg. Both trips where done on cruse control and the weather conditions favorable. I expect my city mpg to improve. This is a good for dollar vehicle far more stylish than Accord and Camry. Buy an Altima.

By Patrick on May 23 @ 10:56 am
Appearance is great but...
I purchased a 2.5S Coupe (Precision Grey) and had 2 problems already. After having it for 5 days, the car would only start after pushing the start button 15+ times (which the service technician claims it's a defective battery - we'll see) and the a/c compressor has to be replaced (was making a rattling noise). I've had an altima since it debuted in '92 and had no problems with its previous versions. I'm hoping that the new coupe doesn't prove me that Nissan is now marketing more on design and failing on overall reliablility.

Great Ride
I've always been a person that always bought American vehicles, so this is my first Nissan. My family needed another vehicle because we have a child and needed better gas milage than my 06 Dodge Ram. This car is great!!! Handles great, ample space throughout, SL & Technology Package gave us everything we needed. This car gets about 19 mpg in the city and about 28 on the highway so we are saving soo much money on gas. I think Nissan has a winner with the Altima, I'd definitely recommend to anyone who is looking for more bang for the buck.

My '06 Sonata was wreck, so had find another car and paid nissan a visit during the sales tent event over the memorial day weekend. The car is well equip w/ the convenience package. It rides and handles very well and I find it to be comfortable even in the back seats. I did very little hwy driving and manage 500 miles on the first tank which averages about 25 miles/gal in mostly stop and go. I love this intelligent key the rest of the auto world needs to catch up with nissan, no more fumbling for the keys, I was sold on this feature. 175 horses is plenty of power for everyday communting and hwy passing.

08 Altima Sedan Outstanding
I've really enjoyed the pep of the car with CVT. It's very quiet, no wind or engine noise. Rides and drives like a dream. I really can't say enough good things about the car. This is my first Nissan and I've not been disappointed yet.

Another nice car by Nissan
This is my 4th Nissan I have owned. And it is another great car from Nissan. I love the exterior body style. The fuel economy is exceptional for a mid-size sedan. The 4 cyl behaves like a 6 cyl. I do wish we had the option of getting leather seats without the need to buy the SL package, but I'll just bring the car to a good interior shop to change the seats to a custom leather interior. This vehicle should be on anyones list for a mid-sized sedans.

My car is so awesome!
I can't stop staring at this car... along with everyone else that sees it. It not only looks great it handles wonderfully. We have an 07 Altima sedan. I didn't think I could love a car more than that, until I got the coupe. I have the premium pkg. in both and wouldn't get anything else. The coupe is definitely smaller inside but it works well for me. There isn't one thing I don't like about this car.

Sporty Value
Traded up from a Sentra SE-R. Although much bigger, the Altima Coupe 3.5SE has more power and a luxyury-car like interior with the premium pkg. I'm getting almost the same gas mileage as the Sentra, too! Handling is softer but the A/C is a great value for what you get.

Awesome Ride
I just bought my Altima 2 weeks ago and I have to say that this is an awesome ride - literally. I really like the smoothness of the transmission - you can't even feel the shift. Interior is nice and comfortable. Exterior is sleek and looks expensive. Trunk area is very open and provide lots of room. Keyless entry and ignition - AWESOME! I would recommend this car to anybody in a second.

Best decision ever!!
I love the new '08 Altima, I shopped around between an accord, camry, malibu, and even a 3 series and still loved the altima more! This car won't let you down. When you need the power to pass in a short passing zone, all it takes is a little bit more pressure on the gas pedal and your gone. The CVT is way more favorable than I expected, although the engine is a bit more noticeable. Comfy cloth seats with microfiber trim, but everything does stick to the microfiber.

Best Car Bang for the Buck!
This car was recommended by my mechanic, he told me if I were to buy a Japan car, I should consider the Altima bcause it has a chain drive belt. It will outlast the others. I bought the Altima 2.5s for my wife, But I enjoy the ride as much as she does! The 175 ponies under the hood feels like a V6. The handling is like a small Caddy. And the steering is real tight and responsive. I only have 285 miles on it but at 10 MPH I shift into manual on the CVT to 5th or 6th gear and the revs go way down. I can get 37+ MPG by doing this. I'm sure after break-in it will only get better. What a lot of car for the money. Great gas mileage, great car.

A G35 for less than 35k
I love this car! Every time I pull up to the valet, everyone always comments on my super black, fully loaded coupe! The gas mileage is fantastic. I never get tired of the push-button ignition. Nissan doesn't advertise this model too often, so when people see they are very surprised. A great 50k car for under 30k!

I love my new 2.5S Altima coupe!
I've owned my fully loaded Altima coupe for 6 months and so far: it has been a great experience. The interior styling is classy and the dash layout makes using all its features easy to use. As far as the exterior goes: this car is a head turner. Beautiful to look at. I've gone on several trips of over 2 hours and find the seats to be perfectly comfortable - for two people. Also, the gas tank holds about 18 gallons so there are fewer refueling stops than you'd expect. Especially considering it has power to take off and still has less fuel consumption than any V6. I test drove the Accord, Camry, and Mustang and in my opinion: you get the most out of your hard earned money with the Altima.

Nissan Altima Sedan 2.5S
This is the first Nissan I own. A great car. Handles excellent and is very good on gas, 4 cylinder model. The fit and finish is also excellent. The driver seat is good but could use some better support. Plenty of back seat room for the kids. Very fast acceleration. Could hardly believe that its a 4 cyl. Braking is very good as well.

This is a great car
Like a lot of people I am downsizing. My previous vehicle was a Chevy Avalanche which I loved. I felt like it was going to be a shock moving down to a small car but it really hasn't been that bad. Has a great solid ride and I love the CVT. One thing I've noticed is the performance when you have it on cruise control. Every vehicle I've had before you would have a lag and then rapid acceleration when you went up a hill. Not with this car. It just plugs on along no matter the terrain and this has to be because of the transmission. Interior is roomy with a lot of storage which is important to me because I carry around a lot of stuff for my work. Glove box is huge.

Best Deal On the Market!!!!
I have about 2000 miles on this car and it has never given me a single problem, the Nissan seal of approval really means something, it means you're getting a quality car! Love the CVT, love downshifting! People think I have a sound system when it's just the stock system that came with the car! A/C is really great! I get about 32 MPG highway and about 26 MPG city! Love the keyless entry, has a huge trunk I can fit anything in it. Love the new design and the new taillights.

Excellent car
It's a good car with a good engine. Leg room in the back is very small, but overall comfort is good. The avalible features are superb. Safety is good. Maintenance is low due to a new design in transmission.

No Regrets
It has been 3 months and 3 thousand miles since my purchase. The car rides smooth and quiet. I test drove a 4 and it had enough power but I was willing to sacrifice some mpg for a very quiet 6. I'm noise sensitive. Getting 24 mpg suburban driving, highway 28-29 with a ton of get up and go! Bose sound system is fabulous with the quiet engine. Interior feels very spacious. Dash not cluttered. Controls nicely positioned. Nice leg space. Trunk offers plenty of suitcase and stuff space. Good sight lines through rear window when backing up. The transmission is very smooth, quiet, and easy to get used to. No need for a stick shift.

Very good buy
I really like this car. I would rather have had the 3.5L V6, but given the fact that it takes premium fuel, gas prices, blah blah blah you get the picture. Very good A to B car in style, and somewhat fun to drive. Creature comforts with the convenience package are very nice. Car is very sophisticated looking for the price. It's my first new car, and I will keep it for at least 5 years provided that no idiot(s) run into it and break it.

A+++ for Altima Coupe!
I have wanted Nissan to come out with an Altima coupe for years now! They finally made one, and it is a beauty! I love my 2.5S coupe, and it fits me like a glove. When I first bought the car, the tires really needed breaking in. Once they had a few miles on them, the car became a lot more steady at high speeds (70-80 mph). My gas mileage continues to improve too! At first, I was only getting 22 mpg city. Now, even with the air conditioning, I'm getting 30 mpg in the city!! The longer I have it, the more it's breaking in. This car is only getting better.

Nissan Altima
I bought this car back in December of 07 and I have nothing but good things to say about it. I have always been a fan of Nissans, but this car is "the truth". Due to gas prices I opted for the 2.5s but it still packs plenty of power. The power steering is extremely smooth and the ride is quiet. My friends with Accords and Camrys immediately fall in love after driving the Altima.

By Benai on July 8 @ 2:46 pm
I absolutely love this car!
This car is amazing. It drives beautifully. I love everything about it. The Bose stereo sounds great. It's so fuel efficient, such a nice change from a 98 Chevy Blazer. The look of the car is hot and I love that you don't see a ton of them on the road. I have the premium package and its so worth every penny. The bluetooth sounds so clear. I love the push start button. The features of the car are great and I'm so glad I own this car.

I'm very happy with this car. I've been a "truck" person forever but I wanted to find something more comfortable and decent on fuel. I purchased a basic model with leather seats. Sporty ride with lots of comfort. The 4 cyl is amazing.

Altima Review
I bought a 2008 Nissan Altima, trusting into Nissan. Instead I got something unbelievable. It had nothing but problems. The tires wore out after 5,000 miles and I asked the dealer and he said the Altima comes stock with cheap tires and are expected to wear out soon. Also the paint chips off as if it were cheaply done, and the interior seats rip. I would recommend the Camry over this car any time.

By akepley on November 7 @ 12:50 pm
Surprised and Love the Altima
I drove the new Accord, Camry, and Altima. Bottom line, the Altima drove the best and had the best mileage. I now have 9000 on my 6 speed manual, 2.5S with convenience pkg plus and it has be a blast. Steering is awesome, its comfortable, roomy, I get 35-38 mpg, no lie!!! With all this, it was much cheaper than either the Accord or Camry. The 6 spd manual is hard to find, but worth the search for sure.

By Don on July 26 @ 11:53 am
Rough Ride
Bought our Altima 2.5SL in may. I am satisfied with the mileage we are getting 21 city 35 hwy with avg. hwy speed of about 63 mph. This is a great car so far but they need to improve the ride. It is very rough if the road is not smooth. I would also suggest that you get the connection package which I wish I had done. I also like the lifetime power train warranty.

By Ellis G. Sr. on June 20 @ 8:40 pm
Wonderful to own, great to drive
I really can't say anything negative about this vehicle. It is truly a sport coupe. Don't buy this car if you are not interested in a sport car but just like the looks. It has a very sporty ride (sport tuned suspension) and rides like it's on rails, superb handling. Acceleration is excellent and the CVT (continuously variable transmission) shifts seamlessly when in drive mode. You can manually shift it as well. My wife and I call it a baby Z. It is a really fun car to drive and I would highly recommend it as an affordable sport car that can hold its own.

By sepulveda on September 14 @ 4:26 pm
Very nice car
This is very nice car for the price. the gas mileage excellent, handling good, and very comfortable car. My other car is Honda Civic Si, but my sons love this car because of the comfort. The performance is not bad from a 4 banger also. If your looking for the ultimate affordable car, you should buy this one.

By nissanfamily on July 9 @ 9:43 am
Smooth and Powerful with CVT
This car is excellent and is a very comfortable family sedan overall. It handles extremely well in rain storms and any inclement weather. Heavy water on the roadway does not affect its traction nor does it pull on the steering wheel, as it did on my 2005 Altima. The 6 cylinder is definitely not necessary as the 4 cyl acceleration is smooth and powerful. Though it is not as sporty to drive as the 2005, the turning circle radius is much better.

Best Bang for the Buck
With gas prices soaring and my Jeep Wrangler eeking out a pathetic 14 mpg average, I had to do something about it. At 6'4", I needed a vehicle that would accommodate my size and be useful for an upcoming baby. I just didn't fit without my head bumping the roof in the new Honda Accord, Toyota Camry, and Hyundai Sonata. But, much to my surprise, the Nissan Altima was a winner in terms of "fit." I'm very impressed with the power of the 4- cylinder, which felt much like what I had in my old V6 Accord. It rides very smooth, quiet and is refined. I'm very glad I bought this vehicle and have absolutely no buyer's remorse. It has a great aggressive style to it and wonderful for touring.

Early Impressions
I just purchased my Altima 2 weeks ago, but, so far, I’m thrilled. Nissan wasn’t on my radar initially, but after a good bit of research (mostly on Edmunds), I decided to give it a look. I was really impressed by the overall package, the styling, the ride, the performance are all great considering the overall price. And the gas mileage ratings were as good or better than anything else I was considering, while the 2.5L engine has sufficient pep. It had the most bang for the buck of the vehicles I test drove, by a comfortable margin. Two weeks in, I have no complaints, still quite pleased with the purchase. I’m getting right about 29 mpg, with a mix of commuting and in- town driving.

Better Gas Mileage Than Expected!
I'm a courier and drive this car about 180 miles/day. I had an 07 Camry and averaged about 23 mpg, I've been getting about 26.5 average in the Altima only change I notice is the low rpm at high speed. Very smooth ride and acceleration. No hesitation when you hit the gas to pass another car. Should have XM radio standard. Much more fun to drive than my Camry, tires are MUCH cheaper to replace. Performance+ pkg is a great deal for what you get. The push button start is GREAT! The CVT (continuous variable transmission) is VERY nice and I wasn't expecting to notice such a difference. You'll notice it within a minute of your test drive.

I am torn.
Okay, so I have the 2.5S CVT 4 Door with Convenience Package. Great car, smooth ride, good gas mileage considering my lead foot. The 4cyl blew the doors off my friend 4cyl accord, and picks up and hauls! The tires are GREAT in the rain, but the large sidewall makes the performance during turns and quick maneuvers quite sloppy. The spoiler definitely makes it look classy. I had to have my door repainted fresh off the lot due to poor clearcoat application and discoloration of paint. I was quite upset. Now my window doesnt have auto up. Just down. I have had 2 Nissan prior to this and one Infiniti. I am disappointed that this car has had this many "issues" in less than 2500 miles.

Just Bought Dream Car
I just bought my Altima today and love it. My wife preferred a Camry but she doesn't appreciate the better handling of the Altima like I do. It has a slight vibration at low speeds but the dealership assures me it is the tires having flat spots from sitting in the lot so long. It did seem to get better today as I drove 85 miles. I simply LOVE the car. I am 60 and it is the best all around car I have ever owned - quiet at all speeds, comfortable, very economical (if I can believe the instantaneous mileage readout) and gorgeous. Nissan hit a home run with this one. I got the Jade Green color with Blond interior and love it. The AC is superb and I absolutely LOVE the handling and CVT.

A truly beauty
I've owned the new 2008 Altima 2.5 S for just over 2-month with 2500 miles on it. It is a truly amazing car with outstanding gas mileage and fun to drive. I got 31 mpg on mixed city/hwy driving. It is fun to drive with plenty of ponies to spare on the hwy. The CVT is very smooth and the rev rarely over 2000 rpm even at 70 mph. Five-star crash test rating gives me a peace of mind. Having owned three Toyota Camry and one Honda Accord, I must say the Nissan Altima is way better and with the money saved enough for a nice Bahama vacation package. I just hope Nissan would make a diesel version of the Altima in the future.

Great First Automatic Car!
This car is awesome! It is my first automatic, my first 4 door sedan and my first Nissan. I got it loaded - 3.5 SE V6 + Prem package and nav/XM. IS 250 had too small of a backseat, the 328i was out of my price range and I'm just not a Mercedes girl. I love to drive around with the windows down, the sunroof open and the Bose speakers blaring. Perfect for those sunny San Diego days. The CVT engine is great but takes a little time to get used to if you are a manual transmission girl at heart like me. Overall a great ride! Previously owned a Ford and 2 Mitsus. What a difference! My friend has a 2008 G35 and this is basically the same car. All the same features and $10k less. Sold!

Fun Car to Drive.
This is a great car. Although I do have some cons but overall experience has been great. My cons are the option package by Nissan, poorly put together. When changing lanes I do experience some blind spots. At last the interior design could be a bit better. Other then those, I would recommend this car to anyone.

By jerry on December 16 @ 12:20 am
Awesome!
This car is the best car I have ever owned! The styling is great. The fuel economy is superb. I love everything about this vehicle. Basically this vehicle out performs camry, accord, and any other sedan in it's class by a long shot. If you are considering a Altima, quit thinking and go get you the best sedan ever built!

By Jason on May 7 @ 12:06 am
Disappointed
The vehicle is noisy and the ride is rough. I have been back to the dealership and they told me that tire complaints are common. Nissan is using sub-standard tires trying to keep costs down!

Class with economy
The Altima coupe has the best-looking backend of any car out there at any price. Look at it from the rear and a little to the side and its a joy to behold. The 4 cylinders get you up to speed without even trying. Back seat has more headroom (slightly) than the Scion tC and Civic coupe -- but a 6-footer's head might touch the rear window. Not sure about mileage. I'm still on the first tank, but it seems fairly decent. Front seats are very comfortable, with good driver's lumbar support. Driver's leg compartment is more comfortable than Civic coupe, where the parking hand brake bothered my knee, and more spacious than the Mazda 3 sedan that crowded my lower leg. A lot of quality for the money.

By Perfection on September 28 @ 10:20 am
Perfection in a car!
This car is so perfect. It's beautiful, fast and not everyone drives one! The only thing I was unhappy about is no spoiler and no vent visors. The coupe is amazing and everything I could ask for in a car. The system is great too!

From SUV to Car - LOVING IT!
I traded in my SUV for a small car after gas started to rapidly rise...wasn't convinced I'd love the new car, but did it anyway to save money. Best thing I have done in a long time! My Altima is much more spacious than it looks and gets awesome gas mileage. I average 34 MPG on my daily commute. I have recommended to many of my friends and family who are complaining of the gas prices.

Couldn't Be Happier
2.5 SL CVT, with the connection package. I have never written a review for anything before but after all the helpful advise I read here before I purchased, I had to return the favor. I cannot be happier with this car. Have owned 1 yr, right at 17K miles, still just as excited about it as when I drove it off the lot. Looked at Camry and Accord, never even thought about this and then decided to check it out and something just stuck with me. Excellent performance for a 4 cylinder. Never been starved for power. Avg 27-29 mpg per tank with mixed hgwy and city, and I don't hold back on the peddle. Smoothest transmission I ever felt. Love all the extras too. Great car for the money.

By BEWARE OF HEATER on August 27 @ 4:23 am
Beware of heater
When you put the heater on the foot only position the heat comes out mainly from the windshield defrost and not the feet. If you put the heat on the foot/defrost position it performs the exact same function. My problem is I'm 4"10 and the defrost blows right in my face which is gagging me. My husband is 6" 1 and it dries out his contacts. I have contacted 3 dealers and the manufacturer who say that is the way the car is made. My point is why have two buttons if they both perform the exact same function. No one can give me an answer to that so I'm stuck with this horrible heater blowing in my face. Also the face vents tilt but do not close so you have air hitting you from there too!!

By bill on September 1 @ 9:33 am
Poor fuel mileage
The window sticker says 23-33 mpg, the mpg gauge on the dash says 32 mpg highway and 23 mpg city, but in actuality it only gets 21 mpg city and 26 mpg highway. These tests were done under very controlled fill up and driving conditions (I was an engineering technician with GM Research Labs). Our 4cyl Camry did much better than this. We bought the Altima because it was a little smaller than the Camry and thought it would get better mileage. Consumer reports gives the 4cyl Altima 18 mpg city. Feel like we were scammed.

By LC on April 5 @ 11:16 am
Poor Brakes
I purchased my 2008 Altima in March 08 and I have already had to have my rear brakes replaced and rotors filed down. Mind you I have only 10k miles on my car. I really like my car a lot however I don't know if I am too thrilled that I am having brake problems already.

By Tom Thorn on April 5 @ 12:43 am
Would buy again
Have put 5,000 miles on my Altima, no problems to date. Love the keyless ignition, comfortable, excellent performance for a 4 cylinder, mileage on highway has been in the 30 to 32 mpg range and looks great inside and out. Only complaint small trunk opening.

By Teal on February 2 @ 2:56 am
Nice vehicle
Felt silly about answering reliability question as car only has 4500 miles but like this car over all. Just came back after driving 600 miles this weekend and did not feel tired from the driving. Seems that no matter how I drive, that I am getting 30-31 mpg with it.

By snowfish on November 12 @ 11:56 am
Hmm
Well I have had the car for about 2 months now. There are a lot of things I like and some I don't. I traded in a fullsize truck for this car, so getting used to the smallness off the interior, and the low ground clearance has been tough. Also the lack of comfort and the road noise. I live in Alaska so some of the roads aren't smooth. I do however like the gas mileage. I am getting a little more than 550 mi. On a tank. That's mixed. The interior fabric is cheap ultra suede. Cannot be cleaned! I don't like the cheap plastic interior. For the price it should be much nicer. Am not totally happy with the car and find myself wishing for something else.

By Ryan on August 17 @ 2:33 pm
Very happy
You won't go wrong with this car! I drove all other major competitors and this one beat them (in price and creature comforts) hands down. I was skeptical of the CVT at first, but I absolutely love it now. I am a big guy and fit in this car very comfortably. Go Nissan!!

Overall great experience.
I've had about 10 weeks and 3,623 miles in my fully loaded 3.5SE. Overall, let me just say that I love my Altima. After A LOT of research (spreadsheets comparing mpg, leg room, head room, insurance costs, etc), I know I made the right decision. The 3.5 receives outstanding marks by Ward’s Best Engines. Performance is exceptional, and the CVT took getting used to, but now I have trouble going back to a normal auto. The Altima is comfortable, and has great front leg room, and rear leg room exceeds my ’03 Accord, the BMW 5-series, and MB E-Class. I have averaged 21.8mpg city, and 29.4mpg hwy on a 1,152 mile trip (I don't drive slow). This means more room, mpg, and power than the E350 or 528i.

Fun economy car
I've had my altima for a few months now. It's comfortable and powerful. Averaging 28 mpg (30% city/70% highway) which is what I expected. The transmission is excellent though it takes a bit getting used to. The seats are comfortable and I can fit my 3 kids in the back (3 car seats). I compared it to other similar models and found it was more fun to drive than your camry, accord, fusion, sonata, etc. Between that, the looks, fuel economy and price, I found it was the perfect combination for my tastes.

I have owned several Nissans most of them being various models of the Z car. I find this car to drive and handle better than all of them. It really performed well and was very comfortable in driving cross country.

Love my Altima
Here in Canada the model is an SL. This car has outstanding fuel economy, I recently achieved 42mpg (imp. gal.)to and from work. This weekend we traveled through the Laurentian mountains and got 38mpg. This car is way better than a Camry and it's lousy shifting transmission, fit and finish the Altima beats it hands down. Anyone shopping for a midsize should put this car on the list, you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Our Altima is the best accommodation of sportiness with practicality. The 3.5SE hugs the corners, and is fun to drive but you do feel every crack in the pavement. The CVT is cool. 270bhp is great and probably more than the car needs. The mileage is very good as long as you do not use the engine. Disciplined cruising at 65 with no silly sprints, this car delivers 30 mph (if you believe the on board computer), but at 75 it is closer to 26. On a recent trip from NJ to MA, we did 515 miles on 20 gallons. The trip computer said we got 27.1mpg, but a calculator says 25.75. The premium package offers bluetooth which we like a lot. The Bose stereo is excellent. The seats are OK.

The ride is excellent. It's fun to drive, a much better vehicle against its competitors, however I'm doing 19 mpg in town, instead of 24. I've not been driving fast so I can get the best gas mileage. But overall is a great car. I have been enjoying it very much!!

Great improvement
I purchased my 2008 Nissan Altima in April 2008. It has been a great car thus far, fun to drive and handles well. I love the push button start the most, you can't be the opts for a 2.5 S. Previously, I owned a 2006 Altima but it was totaled in an accident. The new Altima improvements are noticeable and you would think they would be in a more expensive car.

Great car with a few improvements needed
Researched everything in its class. Liked the sports car handling of the Accords, luxurious and quiet ride of Camry, but the Altima was a combination of both. Biggest trunk for my work stuff, most comfortable driving position (armrests, steering wheel position awesome). Driver's legroom amazing. SL/Connection package great! CVT very odd but it works well. Pushbutton start is really cool. Only things need to be addressed are better rim/tire sizes. "T" rated 60 series tire gives great ride but mushy handling. Should come with "H" rating. Steering feedback is way to light, car wonders a little a speed. Trunk hinges are for cheap domestic cars not imports. I'm very picky and very happy.

Made the Right Choice!
I shopped around for the past 8 months, trying to decide between the Camry SE V6, Accord EX V6, or the Altima 3.5 SE Sedan. I ran the numbers, test drove all three and made it a point to get opinions from owners of each of them. From all of my research, I finally purchased the Altima the other day and can say that I have made the right choice! This car is amazing, CVT is smooth as silk, engine has loads of power, interior quality is top notch and so far I am getting excellent gas mileage.

The Coupe to Buy
The Altima coupe in black with premium package is very sexy and pleasing to the eyes. High quality sport interior in black leather has a lot of class. The seats give plenty of support and are comfortable when in them for hours. Bose system sounds so crystal clear. Bluetooth works fantastic and sounds excellent. Moonroof is nice too. Great gas mileage and plenty of power with the CVT. Fun to drive. Great car for the money. Premium package worth every penny. I've owned over 30 cars and this is one of the nicest. I compare it to my 2003 BMW 330 convertible with sport package and I feel the Altima coupe is just as nice. Great car with all the features without being pretentious!

About what we Expected
Bought the 2.5S Altima in June. Two months and two thousand miles later I can report fuel mileage at 27 in mixed driving. The car says 29, but fill and calculate gives 2 mpg less every time. At least it is consistent. We have not had any major problems yet, but the trunk hinge spring now rattles and we can see that some of the paint job is not as good as we might have hoped. We are satisfied with the purchase and the car does come with features that should be standard everywhere like the keyless ignition.

Great Buy
3 months and 8,000 miles. I really love the car. Great sporty fun on the back roads; very long-legged and comfortable on the freeway. Originally looked at the manual, but read up on the CVT, tested it, and I love it: the powerful and smooth acceleration is hard to describe. Manual-mode is great fun too. A real head-turner. You don't see many coupes on the road, and I've had LOTS of compliments on it (mine's black). For the money, I don't know how you can beat the power, handling, and styling. For me this car is a good mix: a sporty "driver's car", but still comfortable and practical for the daily commute (especially the front-wheel drive for winter).

You may want to look elsewhere
Overall, the new 2008 Altima is much larger, more stylish and much "different" car. The Altima's CVT is something to get very used to; not hearing the shifts or feeling when the car is shifting makes the car feel like it's constantly whining. However having that constant thrust of flowing power is also a positive. Personally, Nissan never lived up to the expectation of Toyota or Honda, but this Nissan (especially the coupe) may have Honda buyers look at Nissan. However, take one ride in a new 2008 Honda Accord, and you won't ever look back at Nissan.

So Smooth!
I traded in an '02 Honda for this car and am so glad I did. I can't believe all the features that this car offers for just over $20k. I dislike the way Nissan lumps their options but the S model has everything I wanted without going overboard. I'm sure I will get a speeding ticket and this car has some power to only have 4cly. I have to keep the cruise set otherwise I find myself going 80 and don't even realize it. I researched the new Camry, Accord, and Malibu and this won hands down in my book. From safety to features, to the ride. It a family sedan with a sleek look that is so sexy! And you have to admit the push button start is so much fun.

Altima 3.5SE is awesome!
I've had my 3.5SE for a little more than a year (nearly 20K miles) and I have to say that I love this car!! I tested the Camry SE and the Accord EX and this car blew both away. It's wonderfully powerful and quiet, gives a comfortable, tuned and composed ride for a sport trim vehicle. Handling is fantastic, very well balanced and easy to control. Mileage with a Yakima rack is OK at 23 mpg in mixed driving. Definitely recommend the use of at least mid grade gas, as regular sucks about 3-4mpg from the mileage. Legroom for a 6'3" guy like me is good, much better than Camry and Accord. Braking is OK, could be a little bit better.

Buyer beware
Purchased this car after considering Acura TL among the usual suspects in the same price range. I wish I had sprung for the extra 5000 dollars, as it seems like a bargain after five months of ownership. Nissan's interior quality is shameful to be generous. This car has more rattles than Mazda I traded in. Panel gaps and sagging interior pieces are too numerous to mention. It is very fast and reasonable handling/ride and provides good 24.5 miles per gallon. Nissan has now gone on my never will buy again list.

Best car I've ever owned
I love this car. I think that the best way to describe just how great this car is to tell you what my dad said. He just bought the new Lexus sports car and he says that if he could do it all over again he would have gotten the 08 Altima Coupe because it drives almost as well and looks sharper on the outside, is more comfortable, and when you factor in that it is half the price it's a no brainer.

Fun to Drive!!!
I bought this car after doing tons of research for 3 months. I found a great deal and I have not been disappointed. This car is so fun to drive. The 6 spd manual is quick and sharp, and the power is endless. Mash the gas at 60 mph and watch the world turn blurry. Interior is spacious and comfortable, and the exterior styling turns heads, especially mine. I'm very happy with my purchase, and I would recommend it to anyone who wants the size of a sedan, the speed and handling of a sports car, and the technology of a BMW.

Beats the competitors hands down!
I researched the mid-size sedan market for months. The Accord, Camry, Fusion, Mazda 6, and Sonata. The Altima is a cut above the rest. The exterior design is beautiful, and the interior is sharp and crisp. I have 2 little boys both in car seats and they fit perfectly in the back seat without feeling cramped. Fuel economy is as advertised if not a tad better. I'm averaging 31MPG, mostly HWY but some city. I LOVE the CVT. Nissan did an incredible job with it. It's smooth and the manual option is a fun bonus when I feel like it. The ride is smooth and surprisingly quiet. Trunk is HUGE, only complaint there being the hinges. Plenty of cupholders including an adjustable one. 5 Stars!

Smart Alternative for many Highline Cars
The Altima's delicate feel and tight suspension makes for a sporty comfortable ride. There is no doubt in my mind Nissan makes the best performing engines. For the amount of money you spend, I would put the Altima against anything in its price range. You can tell that Nissan spends more money on research and development than any other car manufacturer. I put twenty thousand miles in the first year and my Altima still looks and performs as good as the first day I had it. I've had no rattles, no nickel and dime problems like Ive seen in other cars and at sixty five miles an hour with nitrogen filled tires I feel like Im flying in air.

Awesome Car for the money
My fiance and I love our coupe. I feel it's the best bang for your buck at this price range. Between performance, styling, and mpg it really is a great all around car.

Awesome Car
I have been using this car since 3 months. It's really an awesome car and it's a good compromise between cost, quality and reliability. Test drove Accord and Camry. Finally chose Altima as I liked the design and CVT. I am proud I made good choice and I love to drive this car. Especially you don't feel any speed impacts though the vehicle runs at 80 - 90 MPH. I'm sure Nissan engines are pretty famous for reliability. It's overall a good reliable car for a reasonable price.

Solid, Reliable Choice
This is a very solid, reliable choice, and excellent value for money. I've enjoyed one year of problem-free, comfortable driving. The leather package is well worth getting, as it comes with a lot of impressive standard features (e.g. auto-dim mirrors, power seats). This is a great multi-functional car.

Disappointed
I needed a commuter car. The Altima looks good and feels solid, but there a little things about the car that just bug the heck out of me. For anyone that drives a lot, rent this car first and drive it. Do your homework. If I could only do it all over again I would not have bought this car.

Re-think_problems
I bought this car about 5 months a go. I was enjoying this car for first 2 months. It was fun to drive until I had to take it in for driver side seat movement. The driver seat moves left to right when you do any type of turns. It even moves when you move it by hand. Dealers last note on their service paper "Fixed the broken bushing, seat still moves." I have called their customer support number. They keep telling me that they are working on this problem. No resolution. Finally, I got hold of Lemon Law ATTORNEY and filled a LAW SUIT with Nissan. I will NEVER BUY NISSAN AGAIN.

What a surprise!
I had to buy a new car due to a bad accident in my Honda so I test drove many cars and the Altima came out on top! It drives so well, has nice standard features and is very roomy and comfortable. I had no idea how great this car really was! I am very happy with my purchase!

By Dmitry on May 11 @ 8:40 am
Best in class in my opinion.
Bought it after 3 months of deliberations, initially zeroed in on 3 possibilities: Altima, Camry and Accord. Didn't like Accord styling all that much, and Camry's handling was subpar even for that sedan class. I noticed more and more L32 Altimas in my area, so I figured all these owners couldn't be so wrong. Great car, I was afraid I might get one with poor mileage performance, but right now I average 28 mpg city, confirmed by ScanGauge II. I love CVT, 4-cyl engine has sufficient power to have fun on the road, I used to have 1998 BMW 740iL and Altima seems almost as roomy inside.

Disappointed
Since purchasing this vehicle in August, I have had it at the dealership 3 times for the same problem. Which I am told the vibration and shaking I feel when taking off and at low speeds is normal. I was told that the shaking and vibration is coming from the engine. What a total disappointment.

By Michael the Psycho on February 12 @ 7:10 am
An eye-catcher... Definitely
I will have to say this car is extremely smooth to drive. I have driven a few cars before but the acceleration on this vehicle just blows everything else out of the water (and I only got the 2.5S!). In fact, if I don't pay close attention, the majority of my drives are at 20 over the speed limit. If you want a beautiful, sporty car with the price tag of a mainstream car, this is most likely it. I got to say though, the back seats are really not comfortable. I've seen some reviews say the rear space being mediocre in comfort; I think that's an understatement. My roommate's children (both under 10) can barely fit but I guess the target demographic of this car was never for "family" passengers.

Best Mid Size 4 cyl Car out there!!
This is my third Nissan (95 Altima and 06 350Z). I have owned three Accords (86, 93 & 03). The 2008 Altima is by far the most practical, good looking and balanced car I have ever bought! We looked at the Camry, Accord and the Altima. I went back and forth about three time between Accord & Altima. Altima was selected due to the outside styling, performance, gas mileage, Intelligent Key, simple Interior & Timing chain = less maint cost.

Love This Car!
This car is fun to drive. After switching out the Continental tires for Bridgestone tires, it handles better, and the ride is out of this world! Specs are awesome! Suggested for any young professional who has to travel 20+ min to work, great ride.

By RCarroll on November 13 @ 6:20 am
Nice little car
I bought this car because I was getting killed at the pump by my Nissan Titan. I love being able to drive by the gas stations instead of stopping to fill up. the car looks great, runs great, and am getting over 28 mpg. I plan to have this car in my stable till it craps out, which by the quality of it; I may crap out first. Its one peppy 4 banger!!

By Alex on September 14 @ 3:30 pm
Poor gas mileage, no suspension at all!
I'm leasing an 08 Altima 2.5s, which I'm ok with, as long as it takes me to work and back, not for fun. But I do not like a lot of things about it: GAS mileage is not going over 23.5 mpg probably like 60-40 hwy-city driving. I am not an aggressive driver, I accelerate slowly, computer shows that I'm getting 30-40 mpg but it's wrong all the time. It rides like there is no suspension at all, very stiff ride, noisy engine. I don't know if that's only my Altima, no good MPG, stiff suspension.
